About Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy has been shown to be an effective and lasting way to address issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, low self-esteem, career difficulties, eating disorders, panic attacks, and problems related to chemical dependencies. Becoming aware of how and why these patterns of feelings and behaviors have developed, and what is currently perpetuating them, is the beginning of real change.

Thinking in New Ways

Beyond just relieving distress, psychotherapy can also help to uncover previously unexplored aspects of the self. Over time, new ways of thinking and dealing with one’s self and others can begin to emerge, leading to greater vitality, sense of purpose, autonomy, and capacity for intimacy, as well as a more realistic appreciation of one’s own personal strengths and weaknesses.
